What does a BodyTalk Session involve?

BodyTalk sessions are refreshingly simple, totally safe and completely non-invasive.  The Client relaxes on a treatment table remaining fully clothed. It is recommended that you wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.   Clients may be asked to remove their watches, jewellery, and any electrical devices such as mobile phones to prevent interference.

Firstly I will complete an intake form with you and discuss your current health status and what you are looking to achieve through Bodytalk.  Don’t be mislead by the name – this is not a talking therapy, you can relax and let your body do the talking, in fact many Clients fall asleep during their session.    I  will then use a muscle response in the arm (neuromuscular bio-feedback) to receive 'yes/no' responses whilst working through a strict protocol. Through this method, a BodyTalk Practitioner can not only locate the weakened lines of communication within the body, but also find the proper order in which they are to be addressed. Just as the body heals a wound with a particular sequencing of chemical reactions, the body wants to address all healing in a certain order. This is a factor that many other health modalities have tended to ignore.

The indications received through the muscle testing, enables the Practitioner to find out which organs, endocrines, or body parts need to be connected to heal communication between them at physiological, biochemical, circulatory, nervous, emotional and/or energy levels.  The Practitioner may then place her hands or yours on the parts that need repair, and gently taps the head in order to focus the brain towards repair. This tapping is based on an old Hatha Yoga technique, and experiments show that when this tapping occurs whilst specific parts are being touched there is a major increase in brain activity in relation to those parts. She then taps the chest to store the changes in the heart energy complex, which ensures that the balance is held in deep memory and is therefore long lasting.  Lastly, she lightly taps your navel to stimulate the digesting and assimilating function of the gut brain, which is frequently referred to as the enteric nervous system.  Various formulas and links will be worked on until your body has addressed all that it can for this session.

Each Client has unique needs and the length of a session varies accordingly. The length of a session has no relation to the quality or results. Some of the shortest sessions can be the most powerful. On average sessions last 30-45 minutes. At BodyTalk Essex,  I allow one hour for each session so that I have time to discuss the outcome of the session with the Client.
The number of BodyTalk sessions needed will also vary from one Client to the next. At the end of a session,  the same muscle testing technique is used to determine whether future sessions are necessary, and if so when the next visit should be scheduled. This information is given as a guide only, the final decision rests with the Client.

Clients find BodyTalk sessions relaxing and enjoyable. Because the system is totally safe, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
